The famous poppy pattern Unikko was created in 1964 in a time when the collections of the design house Marimekko mainly contained abstract prints. Today the Unikko pattern represents creativity and inventiveness.
These placemats are part of Marimekko's sustainability range - an ever growing range aimed to reduce Marimekko's carbon foot-print and create things both beautiful for your home and the planet. Jute is a durable fibre that requires less water, fertiliser and pesticides to grow than cotton. A beautiful and environmentally conscious addition to your dining table.
