The influence of Austrian-born, California-based Richard Neutra on post-war architecture is indisputable.

His sleek, cool lines acted as the ultimate counterpoint to the sunny skies and sometimes tricky terrain upon which his buildings lay. Known for plate glass walls and ceilings with deep overhangs, his designs had the effect of connecting the indoors to outside.

This volume features all of Neutra's works (nearly 300 private homes, schools and public buildings) and includes over one thousand photographs, by such esteemed photographers as Julius Schulman.
