Early Danish Tallboy in Walnut

Wonderful bow-front tallboy in walnut and with original brass handles.

All the surfaces on this piece exude a warmth and richness in the grain, perfectly complimented by the aged brass swing handles. 

The antique to modern crossover is clearly evident in Danish pieces from the 1940s and early 50s. We can see the clean, straight lines take over from the more ornate design of the past whilst still retaining brass handles and bevelled edges as well as the use of a darker, more traditional timber.
