101 Danish Design Icons, as the name implies, lists 101 of the most celebrated creations of Danish design. The objects and furniture selected for the book represent everyday design found in ordinary homes around the world – not just auctions, museum collections and the residences of design aficionados. In the book, design experts and journalists, led by Lars Dybdahl, the head of the library and research at the Design museum Denmark, delve into the history of the objects and their designers in an effort to shed light on what makes such ordinary objects so desirable.
Denmark is home to some of the world's most iconic and influential designers.
