Elegant Danish writing desk with six drawers and with a rear compartmented bookcase.
This piece is constructed in an early Danish modern method using two types of timber to highlight its design features. The tapered legs and frame are constructed in European oak, while the main body and table top is made with teak and teak veneer.
The quality of this piece certainly suggests it may have been made by one of the better cabinet makers of the time, perhaps Ole Wanscher.
