Danish High-Board Cabinet in Teak and with a Tambour Door
Incredible highboard by a master Danish cabinet maker.
This piece has many wonderful features including two upper drop-down cabinet areas revealing a left-hand bank of open drawers and a right-hand space with an adjustable shelf. In the centre is another bank of drawers with waterfall handles.
On the bottom half is a full-length tambour door with sculpted inset handles and framed with an asymmetrical "TV" border. The tambour doors reveal even more storage with a warm beechwood interior and three adjustable shelves.
Elevated on a sculpted, stretcher base in solid European oak.
This piece was a long-term whole-team restoration project including stripping back the red-hues that masked all the wonderful natural timber colours. (Look for the last photo in the carousel to see what this piece used to look like!)
We adore so many features on this piece however can't go past the detail and variation in colour of the tambour doors. This focal point draws in the various tones from the sideboard as a whole and makes it a worthy conversation piece for your home.
