We've been waiting to see what Marty Gilchrist had done with all the delicious mid-century lighting he purchased from us a few months ago. In a gorgeous post from The Design Files showcasing Marty's home, lighting from Grandfather's Axe features strongly throughout.
We were most impressed by the Carl Thore (aka Sigurd Lindkvist) pendant above the dining table, the pair of Fog & Morup wall sconces in that impressive stairwell, and of course the Jo Hammerborg pendant in copper above the kitchen bench.
This home perfectly blends vintage Australian and Scandinavian Design. Timber panels adorned with greenery and interspersed with copper lighting complete the look.
Congratulations to Marty and his partner Erica. Looks like I need to head back to Denmark soon to source a few more beautiful pendants. (Thankfully I'll be back there later this month.)
